This choice was made for consistency with the Princeton WordNet for English. * New synsets, lexical units, and relations were added. Quantitative Data ----------------- Synsets: 61659 Lexical units: 84586 Literals: 76709 1,37 Lexical Units per Synset 1,10 Lesarten per Literal Number of conceptual relations: 73686 Number of lexical relations: 3515 (synonymy excluded) Structure --------- The data structure for the linguistic objects (synsets, lexical units) is described in germanet_objects.dtd. The data structure for the relations (file gn_relations.xml) is described in germanet_relations.dtd. Supporting Programs ------------------- Verena Henrich has developed a Java-API 2.0 to GermaNet 5.2 onwards, and Holger Wunsch has developed a Perl-API 2.0. Please note that due to the changes on the GermaNet data content, it was necessary to adapt the APIs correspondingly. Thus all programs that are using a previous version of the APIs (under 2.0) have to be revised to the new API. Verena Henrich updated this software to the new version of the data. More information on our homepage.
