Initial Settings

On this screen, choose whether to use default configuration settings or to base the new template on an existing backup template. The settings are parameters that will populate subsequent screens in the wizard.

Choose Create template using default settings to populate subsequent wizard screens with the NetBackup-supplied default settings.

Choose Create template using settings from an existing template: to use settings from a template that has already been created. Below this choice, the Template name list displays available DB2 templates. Choose the template you want to copy settings from by clicking on the template name in the list. This is useful if you want to perform the following tasks:

• use the same configuration at different times
• make minor modifications to an existing configuration without having to redefine it from scratch
• create a configuration similar to an existing configuration without having to define it from scratch.
