Database Login

On this screen, specify the user account for performing the restore. Also specify the purpose for performing the recovery.

The default entries match the login credentials for the NetBackup interface. If you wish to use a different user account for the recovery, supply a new User name and Password.

The User name and Password values are used by DB2 to determine if the user has authority for performing the restore or rollforward. DB2 requires at least one of these privileges: SYSADM, SYSCTRL, or SYSMAINT.

Enter the password a second time in the Confirm password field.

When creating a recovery template for DB2, you can choose to perform a RESTORE only, a ROLLFORWARD only, or a RESTORE followed by a ROLLFORWARD.

To include a RESTORE in the recovery template, choose Recover database components from backup images.

To include a ROLLFORWARD in the recovery template, choose Recover database transactions from log files.
