Device Hosts Screen

The wizard requires a list of device hosts that it will scan for attached devices (robots and drives). You build this list (by adding or changing hosts) and then select the hosts from the list that you want the wizard to scan for devices. See Running the Device Configuration Wizard for the First Time.

Be sure to include the host where the robotics are attached. You can change the order and contents of the list by adding or deleting hosts.

Media Manager will record the shared device configuration on each host that you select in the device host list. The first host on the list that you select is scanned. This host becomes the robot control host if a robot is found on the SAN.

The following point applies to NetBackup Enterprise Server.

All hosts sharing a device must be checked. These hosts will be scanned to accurately reflect your shared drive configuration.
