Running the Device Configuration Wizard for the First Time

To perform a scan of your configuration, you build a list of device hosts by adding or changing hosts (see Adding a Device Host that has Devices Attached and Changing a Device Host that has Devices Attached) that the wizard will use to scan for devices. Be sure to include the host where the robotics are attached.

If you are running the wizard to update your configuration, the list of device hosts initially shown in this screen matches the list of hosts shown under Hosts in the Devices node in the tree pane of Media and Device Management.

The list of device hosts that are displayed is a combination of the device hosts that were added using either of the following ways:

• Previous executions of the device configuration wizard.
• The Media and Device Management node of the NetBackup Administration Console. You configured devices using the Add Robot and Add Drive dialogs.
