Specifying Authentication Information for an NDMP Server

You must provide the authentication information that is needed to access and configure the NDMP devices on your NDMP device hosts.

  To specify authentication

1. Click New.
2. Select the device host that controls the NDMP devices. All device hosts that you specified as NDMP devices hosts (in the Device Hosts screen) are available.
3. Enter the name of the NDMP server. You can specify multiple NDMP servers on the same NDMP device host if the authentication information is identical. When entering multiple NDMP servers the names must be separated by commas.
4. In the Authentication box enter the user name and password for the NDMP server (or servers, if the authentication information is identical for the servers).
5. Click OK. After providing authentication information for all NDMP servers, you are returned to the NDMP Servers screen.
