Media ID for the Destination (or Alternate Destination)

Select a media ID from the drop-down list of media IDs. NetBackup reserves this volume for catalog backups. If there are no volumes eligible to be used for catalog backups, you are given the opportunity to add some to the Media Manager configuration.

To be eligible for catalog backups, a volume must meet the following requirements:

• The volume must be in the NetBackup volume pool. This is the default location upon adding any volume.
• The volume cannot be currently assigned to NetBackup for regular backups. This restriction exists because NetBackup keeps catalog backups on separate media and does not mix them with regular backups.
