Excluding Files From Automatic BackupsOn most NetBackup clients, you can exclude specific files from automatic backups by specifying them in an exclude list on the client. You can also create an include list to add back in some of the files by using an include list. The include list is useful, for example, if you want to exclude an entire directory except for one file. The method for specifying files in the exclude and include lists depends on the type of client that you are configuring.
The Exclude List or Include List can also be specified through the NetBackup Administration Console on the master server. See Exclude Lists Properties. The following topics explain the rules for creating these lists on UNIX clients. |
