CLASSES=none PSTAMP=q20140711013421 DESC=This package contains the Veritas NetBackup client as well as the Symantec Private Branch Exchange (PBX) daemon, properly repackaged and fixed for Solaris 10+ from the original SYMCnbclt and VRTSpbx packages (see http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH214575). The LiveUpgrade feature got removed, because the SYSV/IPS package management handles it and thus guarantees system integrity. The NetBackup Java console (SYMCnbjava) got its own package: LNFnetbackup-jconsole (SYSV) and backup/netbackup-jconsole (IPS) and thus the NetBackup client disk space requirements got reduced from ~895 MB down to ~ 180 MB. Furthermore it is now possible to loopback mount (lofs) the /usr/openv directory into zones and running each client independently, because the layout and default config files have been adjusted to look into /etc/netbackup/ for main configuration files and use /var/netbackup[/logs]/ instead of /usr/openv/* (install there LNFnetbackup-client-svcs or backup/netbackup-client-svcs, only). Before you install this package, you have to uninstall any older original NetBackup client/PBX/Java packages to avoid trouble and get a clean setup. Solaris 10 NOTE: Some scripts require ksh93. Since Solaris 10 has none by default, you need to install an appropriate package, which provides it (e.g. http://pkg.cs.ovgu.de/LNF/i386/5.10/LNFksh93.pkg.gz).
