DESC=TexLive is a comprehensive TeX system for many platforms. The complete set of TeX Live packages includes all the major TeX-related programs, macro packages, and fonts that are free software, including support for many languages around the world. However, this package contains just the 'engines': TeX, PDFeTeX, XeTeX and LuaTeX incl. synctex and several different formats support as well as related scripts, utilities and man pages. In detail this means TexLive versions of selected non-CTAN (afm2pl, bibtex-x, dvipos, makejvf, ptexenc, seetex, ttf2pk2, ttfdump, vnla) as well as CTAN packages (chktex, cjk, detex, devanagari, dtl, dvi2tty, dvidvi, dviljk, dvipdfmx, dvipng, dvipsk, dvisvgm, gsftopk, kpathsea, lacheck, lcdf-typetools, makeindexk, mendex, m-tx, musixtnt, pmx, ps2eps, ps2pk, psutils, t1utils, tex4ht, tpic2pdftex, web2c, xdvi, xpdfopen, but neither texdoctk nor tlmgr nor xindy). One should not install this package - it is only used to make packaging of the final texlive packages easier.
