PKG=veeam6-nosnap ARCH=x86_64 VERSION=6.3.1.1016 SERIALNUM=001 NAME=Veeam Agent for Linux CATEGORY=network, application EMAIL=jel+ubuntu@cs.uni-magdeburg.de VENDOR=http://theo.iks.cs.ovgu.de/ BASEDIR=/ DESC=This package contains the original Veeam Agent for Linux from the veeam.com download page, but without all the unneeded bloat and dependencies (e.g. lvm2, dkms, full C development environment, etc.). This package has system integrity in mind in contrast to the junk distributed by veeam itself. It follows much better the IT Baseline Protection Catalog of the german Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and fits container deployments much better than the original stuff. Last but not least most of the install scripts got removed: You have to take care by yourself to stop the service before intalling or removing this package and doing a 'systemctl daemon-reload' after it. NOTE: Since version 6 the official veeam-nosnap package got split into veeam-nosnap (which basically contains the service files, only) and veeam-libs (all the other bloat inkl. duplicated files from the other package) - this package bundles both so that one still needs to install this single package, only.
